This app helps behavior analysts and organizations choose to take the most impactful actions for their circumstance. The app uses gamification to motivate and reinforce pro-climate behaviors, while also providing data about participants’ climate mitigation behaviors at an individual and organizational level. The app encourages social networking and peer-to-peer engagement.
How does it work?
GetGreen provides a wide range of sustainable actions to help change behavior in your daily life. Categories include Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Products, Food and Dining, Around the House, Recycling and Upcycling, Health and Wellness, Pets, On the Job, Education and Advocacy, and Transportation and Travel. Actions have difficulty levels ranging from easy to hard.
The platform places a premium on learning. It includes introductory information about various climate topics and offers points for expanding your knowledge from beginner to expert. The application learns along with you, it uses your location and usage to provide you with local action recommendations tailored just for you.
Companies, cities, and universities can choose to custom brand the app or add new actions specific to their organization by becoming a GetGreen partner.
