What We Do

We envision an ABA community actively engaged in climate action.

Toward that goal, we aim to:

  • Drive climate action by creating a climate crisis awareness movement within the ABA community.  

  • Establish greenhouse gas emission (GHG) reduction goals for the ABA community.

  • Share the climate actions and stories of individuals, service providers, and other ABA organizations to promote group identity and efficacy.

  • Gather data through an app to record commitments and achievements, providing a measure of progress and a strengthening of the community.

  • Identify educational opportunities appropriate for behavior analysts in basic climate science and climate action.

  • Advance climate action research.

  • Support interest in climate action careers, including collaborations with other sustainability and climate professionals.

  • Export a model of climate crisis awareness and action to other interested disciplines.

  • Increase Climate Action

    Increase climate actions with the GetGreen app.

    Increase behavior analysts’ involvement in Citizens Climate Lobby.

    Encourage carbon impact reporting by Coalition members.

    Provide info on verifiable carbon offsets.

    Encourage greener ABA conferences.

    Enhance connections and collaboration in climate and sustainability.
